Szaszłyk
Kolega rzeznik cos tu pier... The PASGT helmet grew out of a research effort initiated by the Army's Natick Research Lab, in Natick, Mass., in the early 1970's. The Army was interested in lightening the load carried by the infantry. Since thehelmet and the flak jacket represented a fair amount of weight, it was hoped that the use of the aramid fibers that had just been developed might offer a solution. Somewhere along the line, the program changed into an effort to develop more a protective helmet and vest at an equivalent weight. The Personnel Armor System Ground Troops (PASGT) helmet (also known as the “Helmet, Ground Troops and Parachutists,” the “K-pot” or the “Kevlar”) is the standard infantry helmet. The item was originally type-classified in the late 1970s and fielded in early 1980s. Ogolnie rozpoczeto ich wprowadzanie okolo roku 1982, a pierwsze bojowe uzycie to X 1983 w trakcie operacji "Urgent Fury" (Grenada) Co do wycofania M1 - garnki byly uzywane jeszcze dlugo, szczegolnie w oddzialach tylowych - mysle, ze nawet do lat 90.
